
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 1/2 cup cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 egg yolks beaten
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 2 cups all purpose flour sifted
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3 egg whites
- 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Celsius.
- Grease square pan and dust with a little flour. Put on top of a larger pan with 1/4 of the pan filled with water. On a saucepan on low fire pour in butter, cheese, milk and sugar. Stir continuously until there are no lumps.
- Remove from fire. Add in eggs, flour and baking powder.
- Mix well. On a stand mixer, whisk egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff peaks forms.
- Fold in flour mixture until well incorporated. Pour into pan and tap pan a little to remove bubbles.
- Bake for 10-20 minutes until knife inserted in the middle comes out clean. Let cool but can be eaten warm.
