Ingredients
- 1 kg lamb roast
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves
- 3 medium potatoes, cubed
- 2 teaspoons oil
- 1 cup water
- salt and black pepper, to taste
Directions
- Heat the oil in a skillet and brown the lamb on all sides. Transfer it to the slow cooker with the water, onion, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cover and cook on high for about 4 hours, until the lamb is tender. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Transfer the lamb, onion, garlic, and potatoes to a roasting pan. Roast for about 30 minutes, turning the lamb once, until browned and the potatoes are tender.
Tip
Sear the meat in batches before slow cooking to build a richer sauce and better texture.
